Six months ago, we, at Dreamix, faced a challenge that many software development companies are struggling with: AI-related job postings are now 2% of all jobs and growing rapidly, while hiring across machine learning and AI roles surged by 27.1% in 2024. The demand was clear, but the talent pool was competitive.
We started with just two AI experts. Today, we have 15 Data and AI professionals —a 650% increase that happened faster than we imagined possible.
Strong recruitment, amplified by culture
While 65% of recruiters have already implemented AI tools for hiring, we believe in something more powerful than an algorithm: authentic relationships. While our recruitment professionals remained highly active and effective, many Dreamix employees also became passionate advocates, referring top professionals from their networks.
What made the difference? Years of building a culture where people genuinely want to see each other succeed. When your colleagues believe in what you're building together, they naturally want to bring in people who share that same vision.
Although our AI team has grown significantly, we continue to search for top AI talent who also believe in the same culture and values.
Three pillars of our growth strategy
1. Internal AI academy
We didn't wait for the market to train our people, so we created our own learning ecosystem. Our academy offers structured programs for team members and external candidates to develop AI competencies, ensuring nobody gets left behind in the transformation.
We launched it in July 2024, and all participants have performed exceptionally well so far. This pilot program helped us identify what works and what needs improvement. Now we have a proven framework and clear insights on how to enhance the experience for future cohorts.
2. University collaborations
Our experts will soon teach AI courses at local universities, creating a direct pipeline to emerging talent, shaping the next generation of AI professionals from the ground up. This gives us early access to fresh thinking while contributing to the broader tech ecosystem.
3. Culture as competitive advantage
In an industry where 90% of companies are pushing return-to-office policies, we've doubled down on what software engineers actually want: meaningful work, growth opportunities, a place with a sense of belonging and the flexibility to do their best work. This approach has proven invaluable during rapid scaling.
Real-world impact and client value
The expansion has transformed our technical capabilities across diverse industries. Our enhanced AI and Data team now tackles challenges ranging from helping a $4 billion construction company replace 66-hour manual forecasting processes with instant AI predictions to developing three intelligent assistants for a global compliance platform serving over 1,300 clients across 105 countries. We've also created AI systems that automatically rate content for different age groups across multiple countries, among many other innovative solutions.
As talent competition intensifies, we've learned that top professionals seek meaningful work environments that invest in their growth, and every project now benefits from our team's combined technical expertise and real-world problem-solving experience.
The people behind the technology
Over the coming weeks, we're excited to share short stories from some of our AI team members. You'll hear directly from the experts who are turning complex technical concepts into practical business solutions.
Because while AI can augment human capabilities, the most innovative solutions still come from talented people who understand both the technology and the problems it can solve.
