The city is relative small, and most of the people live and study here. They use bikes and walk a lot. Few months ago our colleague Elena went to Västerås, Sweden to participate in an 6 months exchange program studying Software Engineering in the local university. We are very happy with her choice and are waiting for her to come back with lot of stories and knowledge to share. Here is what she says about her experience there:
"Currently I study Research Methods in Natural Sciences and Engineering - how to write and publish science papers. We write reviews of computer science articles and we are about to write our own. Other subject I have is Distributed Software Development - a project for local software companies that they've delegated (or outsourced) to the university. Every team consists of couple of members from different nationalities and has one mentor from the respective software company.
